The Caped Crusader v The Man of Steel

"I've been thinking lately. About you and me. About what's going to happen to us, in the end.... Perhaps sooner. Perhaps later. I just wanted you to know that I'd made a genuine attempt to talk things over and avert that outcome. Just once. " (Batman: The Killing Joke)

Contrary, I think the Batman attempted straightening up his problem but missed twice in BvS movie. So not him. Haha...

And finally, cant resist the temptation to purchase the Blu-ray. After watched the very entertaining 30mins+ extended cut BvS Ultimate Edition (also comes with a Theatre Version disc), I solved the riddle of why the theatre edition was 'choppy' and full of potholes in storyline. That may all be due to WB Studio's greed attempting to sell you the same movie twice (increase Average Revenue per Audience). They applied a risky merchandising technique (Social Psychology) may fail if wrongfully manage the audience's expectation/satisfaction from the very beginning when the trailers released. Today, by only measuring the blockbuster's revenue to judge whether a movie is successful or not, it's exceptionally wrong since the number of visitors to theatres has been continuously declined in recent years. And the so-called '3D' experience can no longer guarantee higher traction; therefore, the only way to recover high cost of production and generate more profits is to drive the disc purchase, rental and digital copy sales, kind of like the idea of video games selling extension pack. But, if by adding extra footage, documentary or some meme, audience is no longer interested. The solution is to produce a different version of the movie and here we have this 'Ultimate Edition'. The trailers first painted you a perception of that movie. When you visit the theatre, you find the movie has only partially fulfilled your satisfaction. At last, you're curious and anxious to complete the missing pieces in mind. I believe this same little trick is testing on the Suicide Squad (Be noticed its Soundtrack Album just hit the No.1 spot. Why? Also, pay attention to the order of each track and its title.). Or, none's above but WB simply screws up at all these times.

In regardless, the 'Day vs Night' Ultimate Edition is well worth your Jackson (BBY has the Blu-ray in special). Furthermore, its context is very consistent with Dark Knight series, the last 'S' movie and other DC Universe materials, just not the Green CGI suit movie thou. Hahaha... Last but not least, Miss Prince looks very hot!!!

"Man will do better and we have to."

Discussion:

Before the BvS epic battle began, Lex Luthor quoted, "And now you will fly to him, and you will battle him to the death. Black and blue. Fight night. The greatest gladiator match in the history of the world: God versus man; day versus night; Son of Krypton versus Bat of Gotham!" Why did he switch the order of personal tence from Batman to Superman then, especially the title of this movie is 'BvS: Dawn of Justice'? Leave your comments below.
